Iran and China have recently signed an unprecedented agreement to enhance mutual economic cooperation for a long period of time. Summary of Iran-China 25-Year Cooperation Program: Trading of Iran crude oil on a regular base, developing of petroleum industries, designing investment plans for a variety of fields and transfer of technology are focal points of the agreement.
What is the Iran and China 25-Year Cooperation Program About?
Recently, an instrument has been signed between Islamic Republic of Iran and People’s Republic of China, which put the old guardians of the silk road at the center of attention. Despite what may be sensed prima facie, especially when one read the memorandum of understanding, the Iran and China 25-Year Cooperation Program is basically focused on economic matters, and the political and military sides of the program is only a tad more than inconsequential.
The official record of the program has not been yet published and the only number we all had, is that there is a 25-year program. But a document containing main policies and general strategies has been published since June 2020. The published outline of the program consists of one main text, including nine paragraphs, and also three annexes, titled as: fundamental goals, main lines of cooperation and finally, executive operations. - Banking cooperation according to the high standards and based on the national currencies. Both parties reiterate thereby their earnest will against the money laundering, terrorism financing and organized crimes.
- Academic and scientific participations and exchange of knowledge and experiences in the field of workforce training.
- poverty eradication and improving the living conditions of the people in the least developed areas.
